Who we are

About
Dr. Osborne

Dr. Jon Osborne’s path in medicine reflects a genuine, heartfelt commitment to children’s health. Growing up in Kamloops, he always had a clear goal: to be a doctor who makes a difference. His journey took him from Edmonton to medical school in Australia, focusing on rural healthcare, which grounded him in the realities of diverse medical needs. Back in Canada, Jon continued his training at top Canadian pediatric hospitals, including the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton. Dr. Osborne finished his specialization in fetal echocardiography, showing his dedication to learning and growing in his field.

Jon’s interests in areas like LGBTQIA+ health and patient-centred care highlight his personal commitment to care for all. He believes that every child, regardless of their background, deserves the best care. This belief drives him in his approach to comprehensive, compassionate care. Dr. Osborne’s career is a blend of professional excellence and a genuine, personable approach to pediatric healthcare.

Dr. Osborne continues to work at the Stollery Children’s Hospital and is also a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Alberta in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry.
